Not quite motion, but it's a sequence of images that tells a story. Artist Jonathan Harris takes us along with him as he documents a thousand year old tradition of hunting whales for an Alaskan Eskimo community.
The photographs are amazing, and the way he chose to show them to the viewer is equally impressive.
Ok... this isn't quite the idea I had with "Analog Motion." But it's sort of fitting? Building something with your hands, out of wood instead of metal... and it moves! So, there's motion...
This is a little old, but for those who haven't seen it, here you go. Street artist, BLU created this stop motion piece by painting on public walls. One of the big pieces in this video is a feat in itself... but to create the whole thing is mind blowing. Not sure how long it took him to do this... but it's great.
Liisa Lounila is an artist from Helsinki, Finland. She created these videos using multiple pin hole cameras & 35mm film in a sequential order... similar to how they did the wrap around still shots in movies like The Matrix. The shots were then spliced together to make these beauties. Take a look: http://www.scenemissing.net/works/moving/
